Graceful  Grammar

Better editing. Better books. Better sales. Gracefully

Why Me?

Work with a real person, not a corporate publishing house, not AI, but ME. I will communicate with you throughout the editing process and approach your project with warmth and genuine care. I don't just want your money, I want you and your writing to succeed. I understand that your manuscript is your baby, you've spent countless hours and sleepless nights planning, outlining, writing, rewriting, pouring over your work, and then probably rewriting again. I will treat it as such. I am not here to mold your book to fit my standards or expectations, my job is only to minimize errors in your work and make it the best it can be for your readers. My goal is always to make a manuscript the best it can be without ever compromising the author's voice.

What genres do I work with?

I work with fiction novels within the sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and romance genres. The darker the better, I will never shy away from dark, spicy, or taboo themes. I am open to working with other genres upon request, contact me to let me know what you have!

Why is editing important?

Editing is an essential part of the publishing process, it turns a manuscript into a book and prepares it for readers, editing helps improve the clarity and readability of a manuscript. No matter how many times you review your work, it is impossible to find and correct every mistake, fresh eyes help to eliminate as many mistakes as possible from your work.

The editing process

To prepare for publishing, a manuscript goes through a series of edits, usually beginning with developmental edits, then line edits, copyediting, and finally, proofreading. This process is the best way to ensure that your book reaches it's full potential. I offer line edits, copyediting, and proofreading (see services page for more), while performing these edits I will review your document three times and make suggestions based on you and your manuscript's needs. I will keep clients updated throughout this process to make sure that we are on the same page and that your work is getting the attention it needs. If you are unsure about booking with me or about which service your manuscript needs, I offer a 100% free sample edit of a 1,500-word excerpt of your manuscript, feel free to contact me!

"Thank you so much!! ... That was so so helpful and I made probably 95% of the changes you suggested. I’m embarrassed that I missed so much. I’ve read that manuscript so many times!"

Grace is a book editor based in a small town just outside of Seattle, WA. She is pursuing her passion for books and reading through her editing business. Her aim is to work with independent authors to help them improve their novels and gain the recognition they deserve.

Her goal is always to make a manuscript the best it can be without ever compromising the writer's voice. In her free time, Grace can be found reading, writing, or painting. She always enjoys a good vanilla latte and a day spent reading or editing curled up by the window when the Seattle skies are grey.
